The KSP aims at adding value to formal education at the tertiary level by providing specialized orientation through programmed mentorship, skills and experiential activities and annual stipends.

Invitation notices to the inauguration posted by the organisers say the event will be held at the premises of the John A. Kufuor Foundation, Cantonments Accra.

The Kufuor Scholars Programme focuses on providing a specialized three-year transformational leadership preparation for Ghanaian youths and targets young people in Ghanaian universities who have completed one year of studies.

"The programme is expected to produce leaders who are innovative, imbued with a strong sense of patriotism, problem solvers, creative thinkers and knowledgeable in their respective fields of endeavour. It shall be a programme known for its excellence in grooming transformational leaders of tomorrow", a profile of the KSP posted on the Foundation's website, explains.
