Fashion Forum holds third panel discussion

Following the success of its two previous panel discussions, Fashion Forum Ghana (FFG) will   hold the third in the series today, September 29, at the British Council Auditorium in Accra.

FFG is committed to helping lift up the fashion business in this country and the topic for discussion this time around is: ‘Is Fashion a Risky Business for Ghanaian Banks To Invest In?’ 

Panelists   include Papa Oppong, a 2015 graduate of Radford University; Mrs. Linda Ampah, CEO of Cadling Fashions as well as representatives  from the Ghana Export and Promotion Authority and Stanbic Bank. Mr. Leslie Bentil, CEO of   Gutta Shoes, will also make a video presentation at the event. 

Moderator for the 5pm programme is the Director of EA Media Productions, Ms Esther Armah. 

Topics for FFG’s two previous panel discussions were ‘The Legal Usage of the name Ghana in Fashion Identities and Branding’ and ‘Globalising Ghanaian Fashion.’   

Meanwhile, the Fashion Forum Ghana founder, Ms Makeba Boateng, is the organisation’s representative on the recently-inaugurated interim creative arts council.

The council which was outdoored at the Coconut Grove Regency Hotel in Accra by the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Mrs Elizabeth Ofosu-Agyare, has been tasked to develop an appropriate legal and regulatory framework for promoting the creative industry in this country.

Also on the council are prominent personalities on the arts and cultural front including Mr Akunu Dake of Heritage Development Foundation, Mr Kwasi Gyan Apenteng of the Ghana Association of Writers  and Capt. Nkrabea Effah Dartey of the Ghana Union of Theatre Societies.
