Do not cheat on your diet

The question I want to ask is; can one really cheat on themselves? I don’t think that is possible since what you do in the name of cheating is known to you.

Such a situation should rather be seen as a blatant decision to do the wrong thing and not cheating. This is actually wrong. No one should try giving this practice a nice name. 

Learn to stick to whatever your dietician advises. Tastes are acquired and developed. You just need to change and start eating the foods you feel do not taste good and soon you will get used to them. 

Often, if you keep to your new diet plan for about two months continuously, chances are that you will stick to them. This is how you achieve desirable results.

Healthy or therapeutic food can also be tasty. The good taste also can come from healthy and natural ingredients. You do not need to use artificial spices and seasonings to make your food taste good.

For instance, the use of natural spices like ginger, garlic, pepper and onions can make soups and stews very tasty and delicious. They do not necessarily have to be loaded with sodium containing artificial cubes. 

In the same way, these natural spices can be used to grill fish so it tastes very good. This is obviously a better and healthier choice than those grilled fish accessible from caterers and restaurants which are loaded with the artificial spices. 

You do not need to hide anywhere and take that bottle of beer once a while. The more you try to drink just one bottle once a while, the more you are not going to be able to give up drinking alcohol. You need to be bold and just stop. 

Some people also feel that they may lose something vital if they stop drinking alcohol. There are several people who are living without any drink at all all year round; your case is not any different. 

When it is late night, try not to eat that whole bowl of fufu and light soup. You can just drink the soup and go to bed. Taking a large bowl of fufu only leaves tonnes of un-used energy in the body. 

This gets stored as fat which worries your body organs. Leading to heart disease, diabetes and other chronic ailments. 

It is common to see some people eating heavy meals late in the night thinking no one is seeing them. 

As I said earlier, you cannot really cheat on your diet; it’s a deliberate decision to do the wrong thing. Advise yourself.
