When Christians suffer
During the Holy week, we reflected on the suffering or passion of Christ. “Jesus Suffered Under Pontius Pilate.”

When we carefully reflect on Jesus’ suffering and death, our minds focus on the narratives in the Bible covering:
Gethsemane – Jesus’ earnest prayers in the Garden; Gabatha
Pilate sitting on his judgement seat for the trial of Jesus and Golgotha – where Jesus was crucified, shed His blood as the sacrifice for sin.
We will discuss briefly the “Gabatha” narrative: Jesus suffered under Pontius Pilate.
It is instructive to note that the Gospels record Jesus as undergoing five separate trials leading to his been convicted to die by crucifixion:
Jesus before the Sanhedrin
The Council and other witnesses pressed charges against Jesus (Mark 14:53, 55-60).
Jesus maintained a golden silence. “But Jesus was silent and made no reply” v.61.
