With the assurance and support from her lovey husband and his family, Hannah launches the ‘Hannah Amankwah Child Foundation’ to bring smiles on the faces of street children

She looks forward to a brighter future…

Ms. Veronica Aban had contacted Hannah and given her updates about the case. Upon several interrogations,Mr. Azibah confessed to have had sexual relations with Esiko many times. Now , he was in police custody and would be arraigned before court very soon on the charges of rape and child abuse.

It was expected that the court would ask him to pay some money to Esiko as compensation and for her expenses. Since she was a minor, the Children’s Welfare would make sure she was put in a home and her child cared for.

That Thursday afternoon, the host and executive producer of Child Rights TV Show, Mr. Michael Addo, called Hannah on the telephone. He had read her three page article on the struggles of the girl child in the new edition of Lifetime Magazine and now he wanted to interview her on his show. That evening, Hannah told George about the call and he encouraged her to go on the show and tell the story Hannah was pessimistic about the interview. However, she took her husbands’ words and went for the interview and had a successful show. Suddenly, she became famous for her journalism works and received tonnes of e-mails in her inbox which had many people thanking her for doing a job and helping young girls like Esiko have better hopes for the future. The editors and her colleagues at the magazine congratulated her for making the establishment proud. When she went home that evening, she shared a thought which had been lingering on her mind with George.

“You want to start A Child Foundation..., are you sure you’re up to a task like that?” George asked.

“Certainly,” she replied, “It’s not going to be huge but hopefully as the years go by, we will expand the work. But right now, I just want to go out there and select a number of street girls we can help, with more focus on those pregnant and with children, the young girls can enroll in vocational institutions as we help them care for their children. If I cannot have my own babies right now, I figured, the least I can do is give help to the ones in help,” she said.

George smiled at his wife, “I think it’s a brilliant idea,” he said . “My mother and the rest of the family would love this, everybody would love to assist,” George said to encourage his wife.

“I am sure they will...,” she said with her own excitement growing. Hannah felt a huge burden lifted from her. A new hope of light and sense of purpose filled her heart. Suddenly, she didn’t feel hopeless and when she envisioned the future, it was with gladness. She was assured once again, that God will take care of the faithful heart, even if things don’t happen exactly the way you expected them to, she had found her faith again and it was abiding. “I will see some experts and start the paper works as soon as possible,” Hannah said and had hopes in what the future had to offer.
