MC Smiling Smith named MC of the Year
Ghana's finest and outstanding Master of Ceremony (MC), Emmanuel Edem Smith popularly known as MC Smiling Smith has been crowned the Best Master of Ceremony at the just-ended 2022 Ghana Events Industry Conference and Awards (GEIC) held at the De Icon Events Centre in Accra.
The award was in recognition of his creativity and consistency in his craft in the events industry as well as being a highly recognised personality advocating for best ethics in the sector.

Interacting with the media after receiving the award, Smiling Smith was extremely grateful to God, his clients, friends and family for the massive support over the years for keeping his brand active and helping him seize every wonderful opportunity.
He especially thanked his colleagues in the MC's network who work tirelessly to make sure they deliver precisely and trusted delivery.
"It was a tough category I would say. First of all, I would like to say, thank God for always answering my prayers. And a very good work done to the visionaries of the Event Vendors Association of Ghana (EVAG) headed by Madam Kate Hassan and the GEIC Board because it's not easy putting up such credible events like this", he said
The fourth edition of the GEIC was on the theme "Empowerment and Sustainability" which started with an Aviation Night and continued with a two days seminar with speakers held at the Underbridge Event Centre.
The event aims to create a platform for the operators in the event industry to synergise, pool resources from each other and promote a high level of ethics within the event industry and management to high standards.
MC Smiling Smith is into events, advertising, TV & Radio Production, voice-over artistry and voice coaching.
He has starred in television series namely; L&G, Moni n Phame, XOXO, MultiKolored, Buddy Language as well as television commercials including MTN Mobile Money as the first brand ambassador, Perfecto Noodles, Nunu Milk, Enterprise Life Insurance, Sivoderm Soap, Ashfoam, Access Bank (change your level promo) and he was formerly the brand ambassador Hubtel and Sensei Clothing & Channay Apparel.

He has over the years hosted events including, Birthday Parties, Corporate Events, Kids Parties, Conferences, Awards Gala Nights, Beauty Pageants, Anniversaries, Wedding Receptions & Fun Parks.
Adding to that, he hosted the 2014 World Cup Fun Park at the Accra Mall throughout the tournament and also consistently hosted the Ghana Events Industry Conference and Awards from 2019 till date (2022).
He had the opportunity to host celebrity wedding receptions for renowned artiste Becca and Trigmatic. He also hosted Miss Ghana 2019, 2020, 2021 Talent Show, Fashion Show and Grand Finale.
