The wife of the Vice President, Samira Bawumia was in Mumbai, India last week to attend an international conference on women and trafficking.
As part of her visit, she met with some key members of the Indian Entertainment Industry, exploring possibilities of collaboration to boost the budding movie Industry in Ghana.
Among the people she met included some of the casts in Kumkum Bagya, an indian soap opera which has gained popularity in Ghana.
Speaking at the two day International Conference on Women Trafficking in Mumbai, India; hosted by the Maharashtra State Commission for Women and the International Justice Mission, Mrs Bawumia said: "Let us take a pledge to eradicate modern day slavery. Let us be a part of the change by Securing Justice and Restoring Freedom. Let us make the world beautiful again!
