For him, it is poverty that is driving many people to consider homosexuality as a sin.

Explaining why he thinks that people's views on the LGBTQ+ community are erroneous during a yet-to-be-aired show on Graphic Online TV, slated for Thursday, March 28, 2024, Wanlov the Kubolor, who is a staunch advocate for the practitioners of LGBTQ+ in Ghana, said "what has happened now to us as Ghanaians is because we have been taken to this level of poverty. The average Ghanaian has been taught by Christianity by Islam by colonial traditional religions that homosexuality is a sin which is a foreign information."

The show, dubbed "Your Ghana, My Ghana", hosted by Dede Amanor Wilks, offers viewers a unique and insightful perspective on topical issues in the country.

For Wanlov the Kubolor, it is about time Ghanaians decolonised their minds of foreign information and joyfully embraced the LGBTQ+ community just like the way they treated any other Ghanaian.

He is of the view that because of the hatred people have for the LGBTQ+ practitioners, members of the LGBTQ+ community in Ghana live in constant fear, demanding freedom for them.

"We want our rights as well. We want to be free to buy things at the roadside without people harassing us. We want that freedom," the barefooted walking and skirt-wearing musician appealed to Ghanaians.

For you to understand in detail the perspective of Wanlov the Kubolor on LGBTQ+ issues, please make time to watch the entire interview on Graphic Online TV tomorrow, March 28, 2024, at 10 am.
