Queen of African Wear launch foundation

The Queen of African Wear, Kobi Hemaa Osisiadan Bekoe, a staunch promoter of African prints has chalked ten years as an ambassador of beautiful African garments.

As part of her ten years anniversary of promoting African prints, she has launched a foundation, dubbed ''Angeles Foundation''  to promote Boy Child Education and Fight in reducing Cancer cases in the country.

Also known as Ghana's Pride, the TV hostess said she feels "good and fantastic" in African wear than being in any wear that is not made in Ghana or Africa.

She got her name, 'Ghana's Pride', a decade ago when she hosted the Ghana's Pride TV show on TV Africa.

Now with Homebase TV as the hostess of Eboboba, the morning show of the station, she said that being in African prints at the time made her feel "unique".

In a bid to further promote African wear, she took with her her unique dressing attitude while hosting the "Ohemaa Dwaso” show on GTV in the past.

Hemaa said as a television hostess, she would use the platform to promote made in Ghana goods for the growth of the local textile industry.

She described herself as a woman passionate about portraying African values by way of dressing who aims to constantly project the African brand.

Her adornment in African prints ranges from headgears, necklaces and bracelets made with beads, sandals popularly known as ahenema.

She therefore urges all Ghanaians to help promote made in Ghana goods by making it part of their lives to help build a better Ghana for ourselves.
