Peduase Valley Resort: A 4-star jewel nestled on a hill
For about a couple of years now, the one activity that has drawn many people to climb the Akuapem mountain on Saturday mornings, especially, has been the need to exercise.

Scores of people park their vehicles at Ayi Mensah, walk up the mountain to Peduase, take part in aerobics and then walk back to pick their cars.
Since May this year, however, another attraction for many people to climb the mountain (at least to the parts closer to the presidential lodge at Peduase) has to be the new 4-star hotel resort known as Peduase Valley Resort.
The edifice nestled on the hill at Ankama Close, Peduase and only a few metres walk from the Peduase Lodge, an architectural beauty designed and executed with no expense spared to give it that classy look and feel.
It has been opened for business since May 25 this year and has since had many people coming over to experience what they have to offer.
Last Saturday morning, I found myself at the resort familiarising myself with the many things they have to offer the guests who patronise the facility.
Among these are two restaurants, two bars/lounges, 38 guestrooms, an outdoor pool, rooftop terrace, health club, spa services, business center and airport shuttle service.
I met with the General Manager, Mr. Marco Secchi who was happy with how the hotel had performed since opening its doors to the public from May this year.
Mr. Secchi said they have had different clientele over the period, from those who want to have a taste of their sumptuous meals through to those who come to lodge to those who visit for conferences.
“We have different conference rooms that sit different number of people from those who want to have a board meeting to those who want to have a 180-seater room for their conference and we have found that many people love to use our conference packages,” he said.
Going round this beautiful resort brings out the fact that there was a deliberate effort to make the place look very artful.
From the paintings hanging on the walls to the giant sculptures of animals brings out the aesthetic appeal in the whole space.
Peduase Valley Resort is also a place to take the family. Besides the bars, pool and restaurants as well as adult play areas, there is a designated area for children with dedicated attendants to take care of them while the parents have their own time.
