One More Time for Mzbel

With a career that has thrived so much on a web of controversies, it is not surprising that sultry singer, Mzbel, always comes up with something that gets the public’s attention.

She recently waded into politics and publicly endorsed President John Maham as her choice in the upcoming general elections. As if that was not enough, she released a song, JM Toaso (JM continue) to seal her endorsement.

After meddling in politics, the Legelege artiste is back to business and she announced that with the release of a new song titled, One More Time.

If Mzbel’s versatility as an artiste has ever been in doubt, One More Time, a lover’s rock produced by Jam Master Jam is the answer.

Just like a criteria list, Mzbel points out that her kind of man must have the qualities “to dance like a butterfly and sting like a bee” in bed.

On the song, Mzbel says she will let go of any man who is not confident enough to handle her like her “black coffee” men.

It was definitely a new challenge for her but Mzbel made a great effort with her ragga on One More Time. “I wanted to do something different and for a lover’s rock, it needed the feel of ragga. I did it the Mzbel way and it went well,” she said in a chat with Showbiz.

One More Time reveals the different side of me because I took a different path from what I have been known for. It wasn’t easy but it was worth it and I’m happy with the outcome,” the Awoso singer said.

Mzbel has developed a thick skin for criticisms for some of her actions which are deemed controversial and she has already warned critics of One More Time not to read sexual meanings into it.

Last year, she led a campaign to educate Ghanaians on the need to conserve energy with her Help Stop Dumsor project which had Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), GRIDCO and Volta River Authority as sponsors.

Known for songs such as Akua, 16 Years and Onye Ogbemi, Mzbel hopes her project would yield good results in the conservation of energy in the country.
