#Ghanaelections: Dumelo breaks EC rules, shares vote on social media

Actor John Dumelo has broken the Electoral Commission (EC) rule that prohibits voters from going into the voting booth with their mobile phones.

The award-winning actor after casting his ballot shared a photo of his ballot paper on photo-sharing application, Snapchat.

He captioned the shot: “I’m voting for peace, stability and economic property [prosperity] #toaso.”

The EC at a pre-election press conference on Tuesday announced that voters should not go into the voting booths with their bags and purses, pens, food, drinks and mobile phones.

However, John who is an ardent supporter of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) is not the only person who happens to have shared his preferred candidate on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
