Emmanuel gives thanks to God

New Gospel artiste, Emmanuel Debrah, might not have had music on his mind as a medium he could use to impact lives but as fate would have it, the graduate of the University of Ghana, Legon found himself in the fraternity.

And after a decade of singing at churches, he released his debut single titled, Aseda on Sunday

.“I knew I could preach and pray but singing wasn’t part of the things I loved to do but gradually, I found myself in it and I haven’t regretted being part of it,” he told Showbiz on Monday.

Produced by Groove House Studio and mixed and mastered at Jem Studio, Aseda is a piece which carries a message of thanksgiving to the Creator.

Like a fulfilled child, Emmanuel sings about the wondrous works of God and how he has overcome challenges in the year because of His protection.

The worship melody is not different from most gospel music songs on the airwaves but the relevance of thanksgiving is one that any listener would appreciate on Aseda.

“I am grateful to God immensely for taking me from grass to grace. Many people didn’t believe in me but today, I can look back and be satisfied at how far God has brought me. That is why I want him to know that I’m grateful for His good deeds.

“I have come to realise many Christians are ungrateful. We only praise God when things are right but the bible admonishes us to always give thanks. Thanksgiving ought to be a lifestyle and not an event,” he quoted Psalm 103: 1-5 to buttress his point.

The former African University College of Communications (AUCC) revealed to Showbiz that he will organise a concert on Friday, September 8, at the Calvary Crusaders Ministry in Agona Swedru to announce the launch of his Gratitude album.
