Mrs Kokoih whose stool name is Naa Nang-Der Daawie Kokoih I is the first queen-mother of Domangye, a suburb of Nandom because hitherto, the position was not recognised in the tradition of the three northern regions of the country.

The position is gradually gaining a foothold especially after the advocacy and women emancipation activities spear-headed by Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings.

The installation and out-door ceremony of Naa Nang Kokoih I was performed by the Paramount Queen –Mother of Nandom Traditional Area, Pognaa Constance Deri.

It was a memorable afternoon as The Chiefs of the Nandom, Wangara, Dagomba, Aduana, and Bolgatanga Traditional Area showcased their rich and diverse culture as patrons who had gathered at the durbar grounds cheered and offered courtesies.
