The case has since landed at the Koforidua High Court in the Eastern Region.

According to a report on Myjoyonline, a date has not been set for his burial because of a disagreement between his paternal and maternal families.

According to the report, the maternal family has argued that by tradition, the people of Anomabo in the Central region, where Daasebre’s mum hails from, is supposed to bury him, while the paternal side of Daasebre's family countered this argument by insisting that by their customs and traditions, a father is supposed to bury his son.

The paternal family had set October 14 , 2016 to bury the late musician after a stand-off with the Muslim community whom also claimed to have the rights over the body because the late musician was a Muslim.

But in court on Monday, the maternal family prayed the court to decide on which family had the right to bury the late Daasebre Dwamena.

The case has since been adjourned to October 14, the same date the paternal family had settled on to bury him.
