3 Evicted from Ghana’s Most Beautiful

At the end of a night of campaigning as parliamentary candidates soliciting for votes from their constituents, three out of the 10 contestants of Ghana’s Most Beautiful were evicted.

The three evicted contestants were Alaya from the Upper East Region, Ama from the Brong Ahafo Region and Deme from the Upper West Region.

The National Dance Ensemble opened the show with a spectacular performance after which the 10 contestants took turns to solicit for votes from their constituents.

Yaba from the Western Region was first to come on stage from the APP and she represented the Jomoro District. Her question was, “How long will our people wallow in poverty while our leaders enjoy?”

She promised to revatalise tourism citing Nzulezu and the Ankasa Forest as some of the tourists sites she will be looking at. She also promised to tackle unemployment and rural/urban migration. 

Before leaving the stage, she called on all Ghanaians to ensure that there is peace during this election year, “Let’s come together to maintain our peace this election year,” she said.

Next to come up was Central Region’s Efua from the National Redemption Party (NRP) representing the Upper Denkyira District. She promised to send girls who dropped out of school because of pregnancy back to school.

 She added that she will introduce the youth to vocational skills like pottery and also deal with the issue of illegal mining.

Representing Ho West constituency in the Volta Region was Kafui from the NCP. She mentioned education as being key on her list where she intends to instill commitment, sacrifice and volunteerism in the youth. 

Hiba from the Northern Region said she was representing the Bole-Bamboi constituency and will develop the smock by creating a smock village. Her ultimate aim is to ensure that the smock becomes international. Shea butter will be developed and body creams will be manufactured for all skin types. 

From the Greater Accra Region came Naa of the PDP representing the Kpone-Katamanso constituency. She mentioned education as being the key to success. She added that she will ensure that school children are well fed under the school feeding programme. She will also empower the people economically and enrol teenage mothers in vocation. 

Coming up after Naa were Ama from the Brong Ahafo representing Techiman North Constituency from the All Inclusive Party (AIP), Alaya from the Upper East Region and the IPC, Akos from the Eastern Region representing the Upper West Akyem District, Deme from the Upper West Region representing the Nadwoli Constituency and the MPC and Ashanti Region’s Badu of the Vision Party. They all outlined their policies to the admiration of the audience and judges.

At the end of it all, Clement Asare emerged the highest texter of the week and took home a tabel top fridge while Anita Frimpong, the second highest texter received a mobile phone.

The most disciplined contestant went to Naa and most eloquent went to Hiba while Akos won the star performer.

Judges for the night were regular judge, Kwame Karikari and guest judges, Anima Akenten and Baci, GMB Season Eight winner.
