Yaa Yaa, Gifty Osei for UMOJA
The third edition of Africa Umoja comes off on Sunday, March 5 and 6 at the National Theatre and highlife musician, Yaa Yaa and gospel singer, Gifty Osei will represent Ghana at this year’s event.

Africa Umoja, the South Africa Music and Dance group has performed twice in Ghana— 2010 and 2011 with spectacular performances that left audiences wanting more and this year promises to be no different as the nation celebrates its 60th independence birthday.
The two Ghanaian artistes, according to Charterhouse, organisers of the event are the best musicians for this year’s occasion due to their versatility and style.
Known for songs such as Kae, Koryor and Dumb Drum, Yaa Yaa has mounted the stage with some of the big names in Ghana and she has not disappointed on any stage hence the organisers’ decision to select her for this year’s Africa Umoja.
Gifty Osei has won the hearts of many Ghanaians with her stagecraft. The singer of Aseda and Fefeefe always rocks on stage and she has hinted a great show on the day.
Speaking with Showbiz, Gifty who has not been active on the music scene lately said she has been rehearsing for the show for the past two weeks to make a good impression.
Africa Umoja has performed for distinguished personalities and the general public in over 50 countries around the world.
The special Ghana at 60 edition of Africa Umoja is powered by Charterhouse with support from Atlas Rent-a Car, Oceanic Resort, Mak Catering and Rwand Air.
