Entertainment fans in the municipality defied incessant rain last Saturday, August 27, and trooped to the St. Francis College of Education Auditorium to witness the show.

The three talented  artistes that came up tops were 38- year-old Geoffrey Kobla Adogo a.k.a. Dziwae, a native of Atiavi in the Keta District; Richard Kwami Dorgbedo, a 22- year-old hiplife artiste from Logba in Afadzato South District  and Daniel Idoko Chibuzor, 25, a Nigerian based in Hohoe.

As their prizes, they will contribute a song each to an album to be produced by Volta MUSIGA for the 12 finalists from the four-part regional project.

The over-all winner among the 12 finalists would be rewarded with an opportunity to record an eight-track album completely sponsored by Volta MUSIGA.

The regional MUSIGA chairman, Tony D said before the contest took off that it was regretful countless Voltarian musical talents had gone to waste due to lack of production opportunities.

According to him, the talent hunt was being organised to help bring contemporary talents in the region to national attention.

He urged all categories of musicians in the region to register with the union in order to take advantage of the life-changing opportunities it has started offering to creative folks.

He urged companies and organisations to support the talent hunt which will next move to Sogakope, Aflao and Ho.

The shows are being organised in collaboration with MG-TV and Slim Entertainment.
