Shatta Wale, Kwadee for RTP

Two of Ghana‘s finest musicians, Shatta Wale and Kwadee will on Saturday, October 22, treat patrons of the sixth edition of the annual Radio and Television Personality Awards (RTP) to good music at the Accra International Conference Centre(AICC).

Although not much has been heard from Kwadee for some time now, the talented rapper who brought Ghanaians hit songs such as Yeko Mmaa Pe, Efienipa, Abrantie, Ahweedee Abena and Obaa No is prepared to give Ghanaians the best on the day.

Kwadee says Ghanaians miss him and he wants to use the opportunity to tell his fans and Ghanaians that he has not retired but still has a lot to offer.

According to him, he has been rehearsing after his management team sealed the deal with the organisers of the show to be put on the bill.

Known for his hit songs, Kakai, Chop Kiss, Dancehall Commando and Mahama Paper, self acclaimed Dancehall King, Shatta Wale, will add more excitement to this year awards as he performs for an hour.

Aside music which will be served on the night, comedians DKB, Lekzy de Comic and O.B will be on board to crack ribs. 

Speaking with Showbiz, Prince Makay, CEO of Events Ghana, organisers of the show, said he is sure this year’s edition will be the best taking inspiration from last year’s edition which went well.

According to him, his team is prepared for a good show. “Red carpet starts exactly at 7 pm and the main event starts at 8: 30pm.  I want everyone to come to the show because it will be exciting,” he said.

Again, new  categories has been added to the awards scheme and they include Media Group of the Year, Online Portal of the Year, Digital Television of the Year and an Honoree Award to celebrate excellence in radio management.
