Although Ohemaa Mercy did not disclose what the contract comprised of, Francis Amo shed tears and was lost for words when Ohemaa stated that he was the first artiste to be signed onto her label.

And when he later found the words, Amo known for songs such as Ngooba and Wone Me Adi No thanked Ohemaa Mercy and her husband, Isaac Twum-Ampofo for taking him under her wings.

“Ohemaa is one of the few gospel musicians I admire and I can only thank her for this gesture. In fact, I am very excited to be part of her team”, Francis Amo said

In a speech at the event, Ohemaa Mercy said the studio will be available for the recording of all music genres.

“Also, musicians will have the opportunity to rehearse their songs in the studio”, she added.

Ohemaa’s husband Isaac Twum-Ampofo revealed that there are a number of things their outfit is doing to promote gospel music in Ghana.

“Our new online radio and television is almost ready and its main purpose is to promote gospel music in Ghana”, he said.

The opening of the studio and signing of Francis Amo ended with performances by SP Kofi Sarpong, Esther Piesie and OJ.
