MTN Hitmaker selects final 24
Telecommunications giant MTN have announced the selection of 24 hopefuls out of tens of thousands of contestants who submitted their demos for the MTN Hitmaker 6 music reality show.

CEO of Lynx Entertainment, Richie Mensah, together with talented musician and sound engineer, Magnum and DJ Breezy had the arduous task of cutting down the numbers at the face to face audition which saw 24 exceptional talents selected from the 115 hopefuls who made it to the next round.
Due to the overwhelming talent pool among the hopefuls, Richie, Magnum and DJ Breezy had to sit twice every week for three weeks in order to listen to and select the best candidates from among the thousands of demos sent in.
The next level of the contest will see these 24 at the bootcamp where they will have various interactions with performance experts, A&R managers, brands experts, voice coaches, etc. all to get them ready for the battle ahead.
A final battle after all the facilitation at bootcamp will see the 24 drop to the final 12 who will enter the competition proper.
To select the final 12, the judges will look out for tone production, diction, vocal vontrol and delivery, rap content and punch line and musicianship among other musical traits.
Produced by Charterhouse Productions, the MTN Hitmaker Season 6 will be hosted by Starr FM’s Giovani Caleb and Berla Mundi from GHOne TV and Live FM.

MTN Hitmaker 6 airs Saturday on GhOne TV 6pm, Homebase TV 7pm, Top TV 7:30pm, Metro TV 8pm and Oceans TV 9pm and on Sunday on UTV at 3pm, TV3 at 5pm, 4syte TV, TV7 and Atinka TV at 6pm and Joy Prime at 8pm.
