Kumi Guitar features four music legends on Dreams

Highlife artiste Kumi Guitar has featured not one, not two, not three but four Ghanaian music legends in the video of his song Dreams.

The four—Nana Kwame Ampadu, Pat Thomas, Zapp Mallet and Charles Amoah  appear in the Dreams video scheduled to be released today July 24 however did not feature on the song.

The video which was shot in Cape Coast, Elmina and Takoradi see Nana Kwame Amadu, Charles Amoah, Pat Thomas and veteran music producer Zapp Mallet playing different roles in telling the story of Kumi Guitar and his desire to make his Highlife dream achievable.

Directed by Abass with supervision from Enoch Attakorah all of Zylofon Media, the video shows Kumi Guitar talking about his desire to revive Highlife music which does not appeal to young people of today.

He wrote this song to rekindle the love highlife music used to enjoy among Ghanaians as he likens himself to great men with vision like Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Azumah Nelson and  Marcus Garvey.

Speaking in an interview with Showbiz, an elated Kumi Guitar who is grateful to the great musicians for working with him said he is hopeful to grab awards with the video.

“To have legends like Nana Kwame Amadu, Charles Amoah, Pat Thomas and Zapp Mallet on my music video is a plus and I know that will help me win awards” he added.

Kumi Guitar, who could not hide his excitement has plans to  collaborate with the four great artistes who he has always looked up to. 

“These people are some of the pioneers of Highlife and I am happy they accepted to work with me anytime I am ready” he added.
