Keche gets 2 nods at AEA

Ghanaian Afro pop and multiple award winning duo Keche made up of Andrew and Joshua have been nominated in two categories for the 2017 African Entertainment Awards (AEA) in Canada.

This year’s event dubbed ‘Rebranding Africa through Entertainment’ is slated for August 26, in Toronto, Canada.

The Pressure hitmakers will be battling DenG, Neza, Nasty C for the New Comer award and Tjan, Dotman, Nonso Amadi, Dremo for the Next Rated award.

Unable to hide their excitement, Keche who are also in the New Comer of the year category took to Facebook to express their gratitude:  “Good morning family, we just want to thank you for your major support and let you know that #TheSkillTeam has been nominated for the African Entertainment Awards 17 in Canada. We're really grateful to God and you. Stay bless. #GB_Recz #Keche”

In addition to Keche, also in the AEA race are Ghanaians Efya and MzVee who will contend with the likes of Yemi Alade, Vannesa Mdee, Suhaila ibn Lahab for Best International African Artiste award.

And for Artiste of the Year award, Stonebwoy is competing with Mr Eazi, Tekno, Olamide and Black Coffee to grab the title. While R2Bees will come against Makifizolo, Suati Sol, Black Motion and Mi Casa for Best Group of the Year award.AEA, the brainchild of Nigerian entrepreneur, Kunle Adekale is an award scheme that recognises individuals and groups who have positively impacted the African-Canadian entertainment industry.
