I do positive music - Kay Kwansah

It has taken Kay Kwansah four years to put together his debut album because he believes all his songs should positively impact lives. The eight-track album titled D.A.R.E (Discover A Rising Empire) will be released on Saturday, March 25.

“Lately, if you don’t sing about ladies taking off their clothes, smoking ‘wee’ or about sex,  no one listens to you but that is not the kind of music I want to do,”  Kay Kwansah told Showbiz in an interview.

According to Kay Kwansah, a graduate of Regent University, he believes he can bring about positive energy to people who listen to his music.

Kay Kwansah, real name, Benjamin George Kwansah Appiah, explained that music influences people and the last thing he wants is to have people engage in negative activities influenced by his music.

“I love music by Kofi Kinaata and EL because they do positive songs”, he added.

Talking about his D.A.R.E which features songs Rise, Battle Winner, Higher Ground, Someday, Asafo Yehowa, In My Lane and W’agye Me, Kay Kwansah said Ghanaians will fall in love with the album when it is released.

Out of the eight songs on the album, he is currently promoting Battle Winner. A song in which he encourages people to leave their battles to the Lord since He’s the “Divine Judge”.
