The album is a follow-up to Awortwi’s previous release called Mighty To Save which brought him to the attention of serious gospel-flavoured jazz lovers in the UK and beyond.

Featured guests at the 6.00pm concert are bassist, Bernard Harris  and saxophonist, Charles Walker, both from the United States.

“Our main medium of impact  is contemporary gospel jazz music which we know has large members of Christian groupings and churches. Our aim is to share our musical talent with various musicians through this upcoming concert,” Awortwi said.

He is touted  as one of the finest bassists to have come out of this country and he has great technique with his instrument which makes his stand out anywhere he plays.

Bassist, Bernard Harris who will be featured at the concert, is from Raleigh, North Carolina. He has toured across Europe  and Australia and performed with major artistes  such as Aaron Neville and Amy Grant.

“If you enjoy jazz or funk music, new and creative arrangements of popular tunes, then you probably will want to experience Bernard Harris live,” Awortwi stated about Harris.

The other featured act is Charles Walker.  At the age of 16, he began playing with various bands in Birmingham, Alabama. His musical influence and style are attributed to the likes of Grover Washington Jr., Cannonball Adderley, Kirk  Whalum and Gerald Albright.

Also slated to perform at the album launch are Joyful Way Inc. and KODA.
