Guru releases hilarious "Gold" music video

When it comes to shooting expensive and hilarious music videos, one Ghanaian performer who has carved a niche for himself is hiplife star, Guru.  His music videos for his songs Epic, Baba God and Pooley which were shot in London and Dubai respectively are estimated to cost above $150,000.

Guru is at it again with the release of the video of his new song Gold over the weekend. The video directed by X’bills films is shot at a location somewhere in Africa.

According to information gathered from the camp of the Azonto revolution front-runner, the cost of the music video, considering the location, costuming, concept and the amount X’Bills charged for directing the video is estimated at $15,000.

In the video, Guru is seen dressed like a soldier, Pharoah and the prince of Zamunda from the movie Coming To America.

In fact, the video is really a delight to watch and can win awards in the best-directed music video category in any award across the globe.

There are mixed reactions over why Guru spends huge sums of money on his music videos. But When Nana Adjei – Yeboah Maradona, popularly known as Guru explained to Showbiz  that in order not to let his fans get tired of the same trend of videos, he has taken it upon himself to invest heavily in his music videos to give the fans variety.
