Efya is not the standard – Afiba
She is new on the scene but Afro-pop musician, Afiba seems to be doing something right to get the attention of music lovers.

Already, the artiste who is currently promoting her new single, Nobody Knows is being criticised for copying the style of award winning songstress, Efya.
But in an interview with Showbiz, the native of Kwahu Pepease dismissed the assertion that she’s riding on the style of Efya to fame.
“I don’t know where this is coming from because I know no two talents can be the same. It started on social media and I ignored it but it seems it’s gaining grounds.
Perhaps, our voices may sound similar but the truth is that, no two talents can be the same and I can’t be faulted if I sing like Efya,” she told Showbiz on Monday.
Afiba who didn’t mince words on the subject said the comparison was rather negtaive for her brand since it would make it difficult for people to appreciate her skill and style if compared to an already established brand like Efya.
Currently signed to KB Empire Entertainment, the 2009 Stars of the Future contestant said though she has been inspired by the success stories of some female artistes making waves in the country, she should not be measured by their standard.
“Besides, Efya isn’t my standard to success so I find it difficult to understand why people would like to criticise me by comparing the two of us,” she stated.
She premiered the video of Nobody Knows, which was shot and directed by Lex Machaty a fortnight ago.
“I am a plus size lady and I rock a lot because I know I have what it takes to draw the crowd’s attention and you can trust me for that,” the old student of Accra Polytechnic said of her chances as a pluz size woman in show business.
