Dance the Night Away with Myra Kay
Doing music has been her childhood dream and now, US based Ghanaian female artiste, Myra Kay, can heave a sigh of relief after releasing her debut, Dance the Night Away last month.

The 19 year old who is promoting her song on various social media platforms and music portals such as iTunes trusts her song will give her some recognition on the Ghanaian music scene.
“This is my first song and was composed with the intention of attracting both audiences in Ghana and beyond. It’s my first song to test the music market and so far, the feedback has been inspiring,” she said in an interview with Showbiz on Tuesday.
An Afro pop piece produced by Kalvin Reese, Dance the Night Away is a usual party song which sets the mood of listeners to get to the dance floor.
Myra Kay, born Myra Kyeremeh sings about her desire to have her man with her at a party so they could dance the night away.
Though the lyrics of the song may be familiar with music lovers, Myra Kay’s vocal ability is an asset to lure attention to the song.
The artiste, who told Showbiz she pulls her music inspiration from Efya, Raquel, Becca, Tiwa Savage and a host of others said she’s not giving up on her mission of being one of Africa’s favourite songstresses.
“Music has always been my number one passion and I put that passion and energy into every song each time I write music. My mother has been my biggest inspiration of all time because she exposed me to many different artistes,” she stated.
Currently, Myra Kay is in talks with BlackStar SR Entertainment, managers of Raquel to finalise a recording and management deal to promote her brand in Ghana and Africa.
“Ghana and the world will have another quality product from the camp of BlackStar SR Entertainment if we come to a consensus after deliberations,” Stephen Creppy of BlackStar SR Entertainment said.
