The event has featured various entertainers in the past including South Africa's Hugh Masekela, Femi Kuti of Nigeria, Freddy Meiway of Ivory Coast, Amakye Dede, Ben Brako, Ofie Kudjo and George Darko from Ghana.
At a press launch on Thursday, Ms Agnes Emefa Essah, Director of Consumer Business at Vodafone Ghana, said Vodafone has provided innovative ways to make customers feel appreciated.
“At last year’s African Legends Night, we provided selected customers with accommodation and dinner at the Movenpick Hotel and a limousine ride to the concert venue.
Additionally, they were chauffeured back to the hotel to spend the night before heading back to their homes the following morning,” she stated.
Also at the launch, the Director of Global Media Alliance (GMA), Edwin Amankwah, said his outfit was proud to partner with Vodafone “to give its Red subscribers a reward of a lifetime”.
“We assure subscribers and the general public an amazing night of great entertainment like no other," he added.
To thrill patrons on the day are South Africa’s Yvonne Chaka Ckaka, Wiyaala, Amandzeba Nat Brew, Nana Tuffour and Akosua Agyapong and Mr Amankwah promised nothing short of “quality entertainment”.
Over the years, the event has attracted over 1,000 people to the nation’s Banquet Hall, State House with soothing, exciting and danceable African tunes.
