Senya Akomase festival takes off

The day will start with the Power To Do More Football Gala finals at 9am at the Sakora Park. Teams who will be playing are Senya, Awutu and Bawjiase with Lilwin as the guest artiste.

This  will followed by Power To Do More Musical Concert at the D/A Primary School at 7pm. The concert which will be emceed by MC Kwesi Essel will feature  Sarkodie, Lilwin, Kwabena Kwabena, Wutah, Rudebwoy Ranking, Praye, Passco Abrantie Kakyire Kwame Appiah and Dada KD.

Also in attendance will be House DJ and  DJ Camatronzy as well as ‘local’ artistes such as Jah Kauser, King Bobolibo Jaheziel, Psalmist Wabzee Passwed and C 4 Soldiers.

The Power To Do More Gospel Rock Show follows on Sunday at the D/A Primary School at 6pm with  Gifty Osei, Becky Bonney, Oma Senya Royal Choir, Heaven Praise, Elizabeth Bilson, Ps Emma Okine, Minister Fred, Leslie De Psalmist, Joe Muzik and Bra Sammy in performance.

This year’s Senya Akomase festival kicked off on Tuesday, August 15 with a clean-up exercise in the Senya community. The Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya West Constituency, Mr George Andah and representatives of MTN paid a visit to the Planning Committee of the festival on the same day.

In a chat with Showbiz on Tueday, Mr George Andah urged the people of Senya to be part of all the activites lined up to ensure a successful festival.

 “ I invite of people of Senya both resident and non-resident to come in their numbers to support so as to make the Akomase Festval a huge success,” he said.
