Prior to the event, fans of Gadam had bragged about how they had earlier filled the stadium at their event and was very convinced their rivals couldn’t beat that achievement.

To prove they could boast of huge following as well, the camp of Maccassio told the media prior to the concert that over 17,000 tickets for the concert had been sold. Though the figurecould not be verified, fans that thronged the venue was evidence that Maccasio equally had a huge fan base if not more that his rival.

“I have great and loyal fans who will always turn up for me. Even if President Mahama is having a rally in Tamale on the same day, my fans will still fill up the stadium,’’ Maccasio bragged to this reporter.

The line-up of artistes for the day were Flower Gaskia, Lil K, Kawa Stone, Tuba Dagomba, Chugu boys, Bawlee, Gaffachie, Don Sigli, Double Tee, D Boy, Awahga and Wunbei.

All the artistes put up a great show but it was Lil K with his hit single, Mr. Latif that sent the fans agog. Trust Tamale fans and their “soft spot” for beef songs. When Lil K dropped Mr. Latif, a beef song for Fancy Gadam, Maccasio’s rival, the already charged fans went into a frenzy. They chanted along as an endorsement of the diss track to their “enemy”.

Who could forget the triumph entering of the star boy, Maccasio on the night when he came on the stage riding on a horse.

From Oshihilankpe, Igwe, Too Big, Work, Tinaaba One, One Girl One Boy and 69 Fans, all from his repertoire,  Maccasio wowed the audience who danced along as he performed.

The concert, hosted by DJ Fresh and DJ Carlos went down well and would give patrons something to savour for a long time.
