It will also see the sharing of experiences of a team of Ghanaian writers comprising Professor Kwame Karikari, Professor Atukwei Okai, Amma Darko and Esther Armarh who participated in the Hargeisa International Book Fair(HIBF) held at Somaliland recently. According to Mr Joe Osae Addo, Chairman of ARCHIAFRICA who coordinated the trip to Somaliland,  the team made a presentation on the theme Leadership: Culture, Creativity and Art.

“The Ghanaian panel’s discussion about leadership was very well received, as well as the individual presentations by the team.

In light of this, students of Hargeisa have decided to form an ARCHIAFRIKA club, similar to those in KNUST, Central University and others, to foster exchange among institutions and schools across the continent.

“HIBF is such a unique experience, and showcases this young nation's resolve to use writing and reading as a bedrock for national identity and development.

“It is hoped the presentation on Friday would be used to transform the development agenda and revamp the education system in the country”, he added.
