Jah Kauser is SB City Awards’ Artiste of the Year
And it was a good night as the large crowd enjoyed music from award winning artistes Sarkodie and Kontihene.

A number of underground artistes from SB City also graced the stage.
The award, an initiative of Coast Side Entertainment in partnership with Nenyi George Andah, the New Patriotic People (NPP)’s parliamentary candidate for Awutu Senya West, sought to throw the spotlight on the music business in the constituency.
Jah Kauser emerged the most decorated artiste of the night after winning awards in three categories, namely Most Popular Song, Artiste of the Year and Reggae/Dancehall Artiste.
Passwed and Heaven Praise Gospel Singers won awards in two categories each. Passwed received Hip Hop Song and Hip Hop Artiste awards while Heaven Praise Gospel Singers won the Best Group and Best Gospel Artistes awards.
The award for Gospel Song went to Anathallo Praiz while Bidasky took home the Raggae/ Dancehall Song. Psalmist Wabzee won the award for Best Afro Pop song.
That is not all, Bobolibo won Hip Life Artiste and Jahaziel received the Developmental Song award.
In all, awards in 15 categories were given to deserving artistes and the criteria for nomination in the various categories was based on the popularity of the songs and on lyrical content.
