As short as the fashion show segment was, the patrons were left in awe of the designs which were mostly made of African prints.

The fashion market is considered very dynamic and competitive and the C.E.O of Angilo Institute, Ms Angelina Matey in her welcome speech said the school trains students and equips them to be useful and stand out after graduation.

“The current fashion market is very dynamic and competitive and therefore, it is expected that, to become successful in your chosen field, one has to exhibit innovation, creative abilities and the ability to adapt to the changing dynamics of the market.

“That has been the trait of Angilo Institute and this unique quality is manifested in our products after school,” she said.

With over 15 years of providing entrepreneurial and career development to its students, Madam Matey said, “it’s our aim to train, empower and provide entrepreneurial skills in the areas of fashion Design and Information Communication Technology.

“It is always a good feeling to see that a little seed that was sown some years back has grown and continues to bear fruit. I am indeed grateful to God for his abundant blessings and people who have supported this venture till this day.

Speaking on the theme, “Promoting Fashion and Style through Healthy Living”, she entreated the graduands to put into practice what they have learnt to help solve the complex fashion issue for the benefit of humanity and society at large.

To show appreciation for being good ambassadors of the institute, some old products were honoured for contributing to the growth of the school.

Again, some students were also awarded for their outstanding performance. The graduands were also presented with certificates.

Apart from the fashion show, there were music and dance performances from the Ghana Navy Band and the Ghana Dance Ensemble respectively.

The well attended graduation ceremony had Mr Isaac Odamtten, MCE for Tema Metropolis as Guest Speaker and Hon Anan Adzei as Chairman for the occasion.

When Showbiz spoke with a student who graduated,   she was hopeful to meet up with the competition on the market.

Obuobi Harriet Asabea said, “I have learnt a lot and would definitely put that into practice. Angilo has a good name in Tema because those who were trained here have been outstanding and we hope to continue with the good works out there”.
