The All Share Index of the Ghana Stock Exchange closed trading yesterday with a 7.1 points gain. Increases in the prices of the three banking stocks largely accounted for the gain in the index. CAL recorded GH¢ 0.0185; SG-SSB gained GH¢ 0.0185; Ecobank recorded GH¢ 0.0185; while Unilever gained GH¢ 0.0185. Bloc trade of 18 million shares in Ayrton drove the volume up to 18,201,000 at the close of trading session, with the change yeat - to date at 16.79 per cent.
