‘Vodafone to enter 4G space at an appropriate time’
Vodafone Ghana, one of the leading mobile telecommunication companies in the country, has said it will enter the 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) space at what it terms as the appropriate time.

Before then, it said it was presently introducing tailor-made products such as the “Vodafone 1–2–Free” which gives prepaid customers free 60 minutes to call Vodafone numbers or five free minutes to call other networks, after every second call.
Speaking to the media in Accra, the Marketing Director of Vodafone Ghana, Mrs Agnes Emefa Essah, said that meant prepaid Vodafone customers who subscribed to the offer could enjoy every third call for free regardless of the number of minutes spent on the first two calls.
“The product is a classic response by a progressive telecommunications company – that is always on the lookout for ways to ensure that customers are satisfied and comfortable with the relationship with the network,” he said.
She said in the current dispensation where customers had access to the greatest choice possible; telcos had their work cut out for them to ensure the attraction and retention of customers.
Competitive industry
Touching on the new product, the Head of Mass Marketing, Vodafone Ghana, Mr Richmond Asante, said “the company was excited that once again it was able to deliver something unique to its customers”.
According him, in today’s competitive industry, the introduction of this new innovative product meant Vodafone Ghana saw both prospective and existing customers as part of the company.
“For us, customers are the reason why we introduced the product, therefore, we will go to every length to make sure customers do us a favour when they allow us to serve them,” he said.
Since its appearance on the Ghanaian telecommunications scene in 2008, Vodafone Ghana has consistently been aggressive in creativity and innovation in the industry.
