SAFARIBET celebrates fourth anniversary
Safaribet, a leading online retail and mobile betting company, has celebrated its fourth anniversary since it commenced operations in Ghana.

The event attracted many celebrities, traditional rulers and top corporate executives including the group chairman of Africa Gaming and Entertainment Limited, Mr Halit Karabasoglu and his team from Turkey, Ms Ebru Ozturk, the Country Managing Director (Ghana) and the Osu Mantse, Nii Okwei Kinka Dowuona VI.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Chairman of Safaribet, Mr Karabasoglu, said the company intended to open more outlets across the country to help bring its innovative products to the doorsteps of sports fans.
The move, he said, was also in line with the company’s strategic vision of giving opportunities to the youth.
“We want to emphasise that as a business entity, we are very interested in involving the youth in our growth strategy. Business is not only about maximising profits but also providing long-term sustainable solution to people’s needs,’’ he said.
He said the company currently employed more than 2,000 people in its 167 outlets all over the country, adding “that will increase to 4,000 in 2017 as plans are far in place to increase our outlets to 300.’’
“Growth is very necessary in every business. It means people appreciate your work and you also want to invest in people,’’ he said.
First among the rest
He said Safaribet was the first online betting company to be licensed by the Gaming Commission of Ghana and, therefore, as a leader, it has constantly set the mark for others to emulate.
“As part of their year celebrations, they plan on opening the Safaribet football academy and to sponsor the Ghana premier league soon,” Mr Karabasoglu said.
He explained that its prompt payment mechanism, innovative products and user-friendly outlets are now the standards in the industry.
“We are a customer focused organisation and we constantly invest in our operations to enable us serve our customer better. In view of this, we have attracted a loyal customer base which is increasing every day,’’ he added.
