Patronise made-in-Ghana goods - Prof. Adinkrah-Appiah urges
The Vice Chancellor of the Sunyani Technical University, Professor Kwadwo Adinkrah-Appiah, has called on Ghanaians to patronise made-in-Ghana goods to help promote the growth of industries in the country.

According to him, the patronage of made-in-Ghana goods would also generate employment and cut down on the number of people trooping into cities in search of non-existent jobs.
Prof. Adinkrah-Appiah was speaking at the maiden Art Exhibition and Fashion Show of the Department of Visual and Industry Art of the University at the weekend.
Fashion show
The colourful event dubbed SONODWAEE ART 2017, which featured a number of fashion design technology, textile design technology and ceramic art produced by students from the department, was held on the theme “Concept and Style”.
The Department of Visual and Industry Art was previously known as Painting and Decoration with the mandate of offering non-tertiary programmes in advance fashion.
During the 2012/2013 academic year, the academic board of the university upgraded and changed the name to Visual and Industrial Art with the mandate to offer tertiary and non-tertiary programmes.
The department currently offers three Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes namely Fashion Design Technology, Textile Design Technology and Ceramic Art and is the only department in the university which offers three HND programmes.
