Network platform for local businesses launched
Business for Breakfast (B4B), a United Kingdom (UK)-based organisation that seeks to create a network platform for local businesses in all sectors of the economy to find new trade opportunities in other parts of the globe, has been launched in Accra.

The organisation, which has partners all over the world, also seeks to introduce local entrepreneurs to their counterparts in the United States of America (USA), UK and Africa.
Speaking at the launch in Accra, the Executive Director of B4B, Mr Albert Ankrah, said the platform would open up Ghanaian businesses to the needed global markets that would expand their activities.
“B4B is a firm that has a pool of resources and database from all over the world. We have business networks that can market the businesses of other people. What we do here is that we create the link to expose businesses to the wider market,” he stated.
He explained that the platform had a network of businesses, including those in the banking, construction, manufacturing, tourism and hospitality sectors.
“Marketers from Ghana can liaise and network with other marketers in other countries without having to go through any rigorous procedure,” Mr Ankrah said.
Entrepreneurs’ woes
Outlining some of the problems that hamper the growth of many businesses, he said most Ghanaian businesses did not have the right market to sell their ideas.
According to Mr Ankrah, a study conducted revealed that local businesses were looking for clients and international partners that could assist them expand their activities.
“Most businesses have everything except the right connection to let the world know about their operations; and because they do not have this link, everything they do will go unnoticed,” he mentioned.
He said B4B, realising the problem, decided to introduce the platform to Ghana to assist businesses attain their expected targets.
“We are here in Ghana to help local businesses, small, medium sized and multinationals,” he added.
The Director of Finance of B4B, Mr Richard Quaigrain, said B4B had created platforms for many businesses to increase their profit because they were introduced to new opportunities and clients.
He, therefore, stressed the need for Ghanaian businesses to take advantage of the platform to boost their operations.
