MTN introduces Fero L100 smartphone

MTN in partnership with Dubai-based mobile company Fero has rolled out its latest smartphone device onto the market. The Fero L100 has a 5-inch HD IPS display with a dragontrail glass protection and a long battery lifespan.

The new smartphone runs on 4G and comes with 1GB RAM and a 5megapixels front and back camera both with flash for lovers of “selfies and groupies.” 

It also has features such as 8GB storage expandable of up to 32GB and a dual SIM capability.

The product was unveiled by officials of MTN and Fero Company Limited in Accra.

Game changer

The General Manager of Consumer Marketing of MTN Ghana, Mr Noel Kojo-Ganson, said the new phone had been described as the game changer in smartphone business.

This is because the phone had certain features which are unique to it compared to the other smartphones on the market.

Mr Kojo-Ganson said the acquisition of the 4G license two years ago made it possible for the company to become the first mobile network operator to offer 4G service in the country, noting that it defined the company’s focus on exploiting the benefits of data services for customers.

“The launch of the Fero L100 is another entry point in affordable smartphones that allows MTN subscribers to experience the bold new digital world tagged as the game changer for mobile phones that support 4G, Fero L100 is superfast and comes with remarkable features at an incredible price,” he said.

Leading digital world

Mr Kojo-Ganson emphasised that MTN was committed to leading the mew digital world in the country by continuing to roll out innovative products and programmes to change the face of technology in Ghana.

“This year alone, we have earmarked $143 million to fund network expansion and optimisation in addition to 197 4G sites to the 475 4G sites already deployed nationwide,” he said.

He urged Ghanaians to patronise the new product to experience the new trend of technology, as well as experience all the good things 4G offered to customers.
