L’AINE Services Limited (LSL), a consultancy firm, has launched its new events centre to promote Ghana’s hospitality industry.

The LOC Events Centre (LEC), according to the CEO of Allure Spa, Mrs Dzigbordi K. Dosoo, sought to offer event organisers a place of convenience to ply their activities.

At a ceremony held last Saturday in Accra to officially inaugurate the centre, Mrs Dzigbordi said the centre had come at a time when stakeholders were working to promote the hospitality industry in the country.

“One of the things that a lot of people don’t realise is that when you are doing anything, the whole idea is to feel a dream and bring joy to people. And the second thing that you do is to do your best to minimise and reduce people’s burden,” she said.

She lamented the limited availability of beautiful, cost-efficient venues for occasions saying, “every time you talk to any event planner, the first thing they tell you about is frustration. That, she said, grossly affected the hospitality industry as several industry players had given up to exploit other peaceful avenues.”

Customer focus

For her part, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the LSL, Dr Ellen Hagan, said the centre, which had a capacity to seat 600 guests, would make it easier for the search for a much spacious facility for various activities.

“This space was specially designed to cater for a host of activities whether small or big. We understand the Ghanaian situation. We believe this package will lessen the burden on our clients in search of a place to have their conferences, seminars, retreats and parties,” she said.

Dr Hagan added that the centre would be offered at a moderate price to encourage patronage and enhance user experience.

She, therefore, advised industry players to place customers first and desist from high charges that had the potential to discourage customers from patronising their services.

“We as entrepreneurs should be observant, creative and be solution providers so we can make people’s lives more comfortable and better”, she said.
