IIA calls on Business Development Minister

The senior management team of Invest in Africa (IIA), led by the Country Manager, Mr Samuel Brandful, has paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Business Development, Mr Ibrahim Mohammed Awal.

The visit was to provide the two sides the opportunity to deliberate on how to harness their respective potential and synergies to identify and tackle challenges of doing business in Africa.

This is in line with the government’s commitment to develop the private sector, especially with regards to small and medium enterprises (SMEs),
The minister acknowledged areas of possible collaboration between his ministry and the work that IIA does in Ghana, which includes SME development through its Business

Excellence Programmes (BEP) and the African Partner Pool (APP), an online platform that provides access to markets for businesses.

Following the visit, IIA will work with the ministry to develop mutually beneficial SME growth programmes.

IIA is a cross-sector partnership of companies with the vision to create thriving African economies by working closely with both public and private sector organisations.

Current partners of IIA include Tullow Ghana, Ecobank, UT Bank, Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), AB, & David Law, MODEC Ghana, Ernst & Young (EY), Millennium Development Authority (MiDA), Newmont Mining, Guinness Ghana, Societe General and GE.
