GTBank opens new branch

The Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Limited has opened another agency at Abeka Lapaz to cater for the banking convenience of its customers.

This brings to 28, the total number of GTBank outlets operating in the country.

The new agency, on the main N1 Motorway opposite Abrantie Spot at Abeka Lapaz, offers extended banking hours on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for the convenience of customers and non-customers alike.

A release from the bank said, “The agency would deliver regular banking services such as cash deposits and withdrawals”.

“It also has a remittance centre for international money transfer services such as Vigo, Western Union, MoneyGram, RIA and Immedi8, as well GTBank proprietary money transfer services; G-cash and GTMT. G-Cash is a domestic platform used to send and receive money within Ghana, while GTMT (Guaranty Trust Money Transfer) is for both inward and outward remittances across West Africa”, the release added.  In addition, it said the new agency was equipped with a 24-hour ATM that accepts Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Cirrus China Union Pay cards from anywhere in the world.

It said with this, residents, businesses, individuals and commuters in and around the area could enjoy first class banking services no matter which side of the Highway they are on, as GTBank had a branch on either side.

Since inception in 2006, GTBank has consistently maintained its level of customer service delivery through the provision of convenient banking locations, products and services.

The bank had duly been recognised for this by customers as indicated in the 2012 KPMG Africa-wide Customer Satisfaction Survey Report where it was named as the “Most Customer-focused Bank in Ghana”.

Meanwhile, Guaranty Trust Bank plc has been adjudged the “2014 African Bank of the Year” for the second consecutive time by the ????African Banker Magazine May????, at the awards ceremony that was held in Kigali, Rwanda.

The African Banker Awards is one of the biggest annual events that recognises and celebrates the achievements of the financial service industry in Africa.

It recognises individuals and financial institutions contributing to the development and growth of Africa’s banking industry and changing perceptions of the continent’s domestic and international markets.

Outlining the rationale for selecting GTBank as the overall winner of the coveted ‘African Bank of the Year’ award, the panel of judges commented that the award recognised financial institutions that are industry leaders, consistently report strong financial performance and significantly contribute to the quality of service offered by the financial services industry within their country and across the African continent.
