A team of film makers have teamed up to maximise the economic importance of the Ghanaian movie industry by crafting a business solution drama to educate small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the country.

The drama, Solutions, which will soon be shown on TV3 and aired on Adom FM, is the initiative of the Genius Africa production house, in collaboration with the Premium Bank.

With much of the country’s working class falling in the informal sector, the production house thought it wise to reach out to businesses through the electronic media to coach SMEs to grow their businesses.

The 30-minute television production is aimed at educating young and potential entrepreneurs to spur them on with their businesses through the adoption of modifications.

In an interview, the Executive Producer of the drama, Mr Kwame Boadi, said SMEs faced many challenges but they either did not know how to solve them or who to consult for solutions.

He said the drama was, therefore, going to fill in the gaps for SMEs by providing solutions for their challenges.

The drama series, which will be shown on TV3 in the first week of December this year, will highlight some challenges, such as limited access to business development, limited market information, access to financial services and lack of financial capital and how they could be solved.

It will also educate SMEs on the importance of technology in business and the need to register businesses.
