The donation forms part of the bank's annual support scheme and corporate social responsibilities as well as to renew their continuous relationship with the institution.

The institutions that benefited included, SOS Village, Teshie Children's Home, Echoing Hills, Handi-Vangelism Ministries Ghana, Osu Children's Home and Affectionate Foster Home all in the Greater Accra Region.

Presenting the items in Accra, the Managing Director of CAL Bank, Mr Frank Adu Jr, urged the beneficiary schools to put the funds to good use.

According to him, the bank had for the past 16 years supported children in need and pledged the bank’s commitment to continue with that gesture.

He said the bank had also been able to provide employment opportunities to some hardworking and dedicated products from the homes it supported after they had completed their tertiary education.

"We are what we are because of the existence of these deprived children" he stated.

The owner of the Teshie Home, Mrs Parker, thanked management of the bank for the gesture and assured that the efforts of the bank would not be in vain.
