CAL Bank relocates to banking square at UG

CAL Bank has relocated its Legon branch to the banking square of the University of Ghana (UG). The move is as a result of the demand for quality banking services from students and businesses springing up around the university.

The Managing Director of CAL Bank, Mr Frank Adu Jnr., who opened the bank, said competition within the industry was beneficial to ensure better customer service and efficiency in banking services.

Mr Adu said although the year 2016 had been a challenging one, the bank had strategically implemented a number of banking services which had projected the bank and positioned it as a bank of choice across the country.

Some of these services include automated teller machines (ATM) at all branches, internet banking, continuous interactions with clients and periodical working relations with customers.

"We are working hard to make our branches preferred choices for businesses despite the challenges we face as a bank," he stated.

The Dean of the School of Agriculture, UG, Prof. John Ofosu-Anim, for his part, commended the bank for moving into the banking square to compete for clients.

Prof. Ofosu-Anim commended CAL Bank for creating job opportunities for the youth, especially students from the University of Ghana, and added that the move was an indication that the relationship between the bank and the university would travel far.
