Barry Callebaut appoints female Ghanaian MD
Mrs Charity Anima Sackitey has been appointed Managing Director of Barry Callebaut Ghana Limited.

She joined Barry Callebaut from Coca Cola in 2003, where she had held various Quality Assurance management roles. She also assumed the Quality Assurance Manager role at Barry Callebaut Ghana in 2003 and became the Operations Manager in 2010.
As Managing Director, she will be the face of Barry Callebaut in Ghana, leading the management team and the organization to execute the Company’s growth strategy and drive the local operations.
She comes into her new role with over 20 years of diversified work experience in the food and beverage industry sector of Ghana. She has proven track record in Plant Operations, People Management, Quality Assurance, and Environment, Health and Safety.
She holds a BSc (Hons) Biochemistry from the University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, and an MBA from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration.
She takes over from Mr John Andre and becomes the first Ghanaian to hold this position.
