Bank of Africa Ghana launches moneygram

Bank of Africa Ghana has launched MoneyGram in Accra to begin services in its various outlets across the country.

The launch followed the bank’s partnering with MoneyGram International, a leading global money transfer company that operates in over 200 countries and territories around the world.

In his address, the Deputy Managing Director of the bank who is responsible for business development, Mr Said Adren, said as part of its strategies for this year, the bank intended to expand its branch network to bring the bank’s services even closer to both customers and non-customers and also aspired to become the number one MoneyGram agent in Ghana.  

The Head of Marketing and Communications of the bank, Mrs Sharon Bansa,  said the bank was glad to have partnered MoneyGram in Ghana and assured customers of exciting packages. 

“We promise to make our money transfer services as seamless as possible and also from time-to-time reward our patrons, said Mrs Bansa said.

Bank of Africa offers other money transfer services such as the Western Union and Wari.

MoneyGram is an international money transfer service that allows customers to receive remittances to meet various personal needs.

It is available at over 1,600 locations across Ghana. 

The bank has been operating in Ghana since 2011 and the Bank of Africa Group has presence in 14 other African countries namely Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Cote d’Ivoire, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Tanzania, Togo and Uganda.
