All set for int. exhibition on power and construction

The second edition of the international exhibition on power and construction designed for the energy, renewables, electricals and construction industry has been slated for August 10-12, 2017, at the International Trade Fair Centre in Accra.

The exhibition is expected to bring together over 200 exhibitors from over 15 countries across the world to offer expertise to address challenges in the power and construction sector.

The Managing Partner of Orange IMC, organisers of the exhibition, Mr Christopher Rockson, told the Daily Graphic in Accra that the stage was set for the largest energy event in Africa.

“The three-day trade show will bring together prospective investors who will meet and share ideas on setting up businesses and investing in the sub-region. This year’s event marks the second edition of Powerelec but the first for Construct,” he said.

“Powerelec Ghana and Construct Ghana will provide the energy and construction industry with an unrivalled environment to meet a lot of suppliers all in one place.”

Participants will have the chance to meet with exhibitors and explore new developments. In addition, demonstration on new products, features comparisons and prices will be made available to participants,” he added.

Mr Rockson explained that the event was expected to serve as a platform to cost-effective and innovative solutions for energy and construction sectors in the country.

“Through this programme we intended to make Accra the commercial hub of  West Africa by improving the overall economic activities through more foreign direct investment,” he said.

He observed that the event would expose the country internationally, especially among the business community.

Speakers billed for the event include the Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, and Minister of Energy and Petroleum, Mr Boakye Agyarko.
