Afro-Arab Group of Companies begins 10th anniversary celebration

The Afro-Arab Group of Companies has kickstarted its 10th-anniversary celebration with a donation of educational materials and sports equipment to three schools in Accra.

The three beneficiary schools were presented with the items which included Afro-Arab branded books, bags, clocks, pens, bells, footballs and rugby balls by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Afro-Arab Group of Companies, Alhaji Abdul Salamu Amadou.

The schools are the Islamic Training Institute who received their items last Sunday while the Foster International School, Kokomlemle and the Kanda Cluster of Schools received theirs on Monday, September 20.

At Islamic Training Institute on Sunday, a total of 500 books and 500 pens were recieced by the Mudir of the institute; Alhaji Jalal Mustapha from Alhaji Salamu Amadou who was supported by Abdul Salam Mohammed Daaru, Director of CSR Afro Arab Group(Yaa Salaam Opportunity Center), Mr Hosni Mubarack Salih (Special Assistant to the CEO), Mr Sakib Iddris and Mr Abdul Sameed Elias Daaru of Ansam Co Ltd.

On Monday, the Afro-Arab delegation made their way to the Foster International School, Kokomlemle and the Kanda Cluster of Schools and delivered the items to the heads of the respective institutions who later handed them out to the excited pupils.

According to the CEO of the Afro-Arab Group of Companies, Alhaji Abdul Salamu Amadou the donation is meant to empower the youth from the Zongo communities to take their studies seriously.

Alhaji Amadou said his life and thriving companies were proof that education plays a vital role in ending extreme poverty.

He also pledged to construct three astroturf pitches which will be used by the schools next year.

Alhaji Amadou who won the Most Promising Entrepreneur of the Year award at the 2016 West African Regional Magazine Achievers Awards has also been nominated for the Forty Under 40 Awards in the Banking and Finance category.
